PHOTOGRAPHY

My photographs are Lith, Digital or a combination hybrid. Film & digital are just tools of expression, like a chisel or an AI Art Generator (though a new area in development.) I also paint & draw on many images. Even in photoshop to me the layers are like glazes in painting. The Lith Prints are one of a kind. The digital or hybrid techniques are limited editions prints.

“His alternative photographic images are as large as 4-ft. square. All images in this series are photographic. Rigging various filters which he created, in front of the camera lens, enables Scott to direct certain intended areas of sharpness, increase flare, texture and abstract forms. Using the Technique of Lith Printing, an Alternative Photographic Method, each image is printed with an amplified poignancy. Siken’s hand made method creates photographs that appear more like etchings or drawings. Some of his methods are from the 1800's, even his cameras are from the 1950's. The entire process is created to increase emotional content.“
